Overview
Hi, welcome to my blog on Medium. I am so grateful you decided to stop by and check out my work. I have loved my time on Medium so far. The community of writers has been incredibly supportive, encouraging, and kind. I want to continue being able to connect with this community and build an ongoing readership, and I figured it would be easiest to do so if readers knew more about myself as a writer.
So, here’s a more in-depth look at my background.
I am a 27-year-old ocean-enthusiast who is currently living in Denver, Colorado with her spouse and dog. After recovering from my own battles with an eating disorder and trauma, I was inspired to become a therapist. Now, I have my own counseling practice where I work with individuals struggling with eating disorders, trauma, and LGBTQ+ concerns.
In addition to my counseling practice, I am an avid scuba diver, adventurer, and artist. So far, I have traveled to sixteen different countries and dove over 130 times in some of the world’s most stunning locations (Mexico’s cenotes, Belize’s blue hole, Roatan’s reefs, Catalina Island’s kelp forests, etc.). I enjoy writing in all its forms — short stories, personal essays, novels, articles, blog posts, poems, random musings…
